I'm ready to make a plan. I have a dream, and I believe I actually have a chance at making this happen. Over the next 2 years, I want to do research and make a business plan, go to banks and get some financial assistance. I have so many people around me who are supporting me on this. I feel like it's something I have really thought through, and ( Read more... )

If you need a group of masterminds to help take over the world I'd love to help... ;)

Regardless, I say follow your dreams and go with ambitions. No harm in trying, right? And don't sell your ambitions short either! Why can't you be THE one who starts this new revolution? As for your hubby, he'll be there for you no matter what happens. Now start planning and get your ball rolling...!

PS - If you need someone to kick your butt into gear, ask your sister. She rocks at that!

"If he doesn't want to do this together, i am still going to want to do it"

I think you will always want to do this, which goes hand in hand with the reason why I think you should. However, don't be discouraged because of Shane's reaction. It might be better for the business as well as your home life if you didn't work with him. You may want to consider getting a business partner that shares your vision or else has extensive knowledge in starting a business.....but I'm just throwing out ideas. I would say that the best idea for right now, is not to rush into it. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.....right?

Ouch. When you first started talking about this idea, I thought he was all into it too. Sorry to hear that he's not.

Know what though? It doesn't really matter. Tell him that as part of the marriage bond (hehehe, get it? "bond"?) he has to support you in everything. He doesn't necessarily need to agree with it, and he can offer you reasons as to why he doesn't agree. But if there is something that you, in your heart of hearts, know needs to be attempted, then he needs to at least give a nod to that. He doesn't need to have his hands directly into it in order to be supporting you.

And Sarah's right. There are other people you can turn to. I'm sure there are many business minded people who would be willing to share your vision. Remember, there is a group of people who are trying to have the Canadian Music Hall of Fame built right here in Hamilton. You never know.
