Ductal Carcinoma in Situ

I finally heard back about my biopsy. Lumpy has an official name now. Next is an MRI so they can determine whether I need chemo or not. It took longer than usual because they had sent it to another lab as it was a kind that wanted further testing, but they didn't have enough biopsy matter to complete the testing.

This is the same as what my sister has. Had. Twice. She just had a double mastectomy and will be doing a DIEP reconstruction rather than getting breast implants. They can do amazing things now. My family is (too) well versed in this stupid disease. I'm here for you. 💜

That is both encouraging, she survived it twice! But also scary because she got it twice!

I am glad to know you have answers to questions I may have. You've always been a dear friend.
If my entire boob has to come off, I'm going to do such a realistic s/he look.
My PC assured me that BC is so common that it's not the death sentence it used to be. Most people survive it now.
