That's lousy timing. Each thing would be bad enough on its own. At least you have school to take your mind off things.
PS my kitty has fleas too! I brought home dead leaves that apparently had eggs or larvae on them, and she played with them. It's been kind of ridiculous.
I don't get how you are supposed to get rid of them! I have been doing everything in my power, I put flew spray on them, I bathed them three times, I flea comb them and vaccuum the house every day, and it had gotten alot better but there are still fleas on them. I don't really know what else to do :/
I haven't had too much trouble, but I think I might have caught them relatively early. Once they're established it's way more difficult. When I was a kid my cat got fleas and it was an absolute nightmare. Do you have Revolution or Advantage in Canada? When I first noticed them I vaccuumed right away, and went out the next day for shampoo and spray for the furniture and her bedding. A few days later I used Revolution on her; when I combed her after that I only found dead fleas and maybe two live ones. (how it worksI washed everything that I could, too. I think the key is to just keep vaccuuming and doing insane amounts of laundry, and spraying bedding and carpets. The Revolution really did the trick, too. On the packaging they say that it can take two or three months to completely beat them, just because of their life cycle. They form hard cocoons between the larval and adult stages, and the sprays usually can't get through them
( ... )
Oh and the laundry-- the adults and eggs have waxy coatings, and soapy water will remove them, then they dehydrate and die. Sorry for major long reply! I know that if I know why things work, it helps; hopefully some of this was helpful!
