I get out the take home container of my half eaten burger and fries from the day before. It is to be my lunch. I walk away for a moment only to come back and find him eating it. Standing there, right at the kitchen counter. Right there in front of me. Peeling the bun off and dropping it back in the container. And eating my onion ring and bacon ( Read more... )

I think any long term relationship can have that, the trick is not just throwing in the towel, but finding a way to fix it.

It's not that this one thing, this one burger matters.

This really struck me. Every time I've fought with family about something stupid, or kicked a friend (or even a very close relative in one case) to the curb over something like a facebook post, and I'm accused of overreacting, it's always this.
