Why do I even bother?

Seeing as I am sick, I have had a lot of time to think and I have noticed a couple of things. Why should I continue to bother being a good person to everyone else and would cut off an arm for, when I seem to get nothing in return. I have never felt so alone in my life. I don't have friends that I thought I had and it kinda pisses me off. I feel

You are never alone. Sometimes people are just going through a lot and need to have a selfish phase (especially if they've never taken the time for themselves before), but in the end they've always got your back and you shouldn't worry about whether they care. When you need to bitch or vent, I'm sure we'll all be there for you.
