ftm stands for female to male.
Why wouldn't there be gay ftms?
People want to have sex changes because they are not comfortable in their own body and have the mentality of the opposite sex. So a gay boy can be trapped in a girl's body. Ftms are not just "girls who want to be guys so they can date girls". Girls who want to date girls are just straight out lesbians (or bis). And with all the stupid media promotion of lesbianism as "hot" or "sexy", why would a girl who likes girls bother to get a sex change?

By the way I'm fully straight. lol. I'm just very opinionated when it comes to topics like these.

See, from a parent's point of view, that's not a good thing. Even though you may think yourself very capable of talking to whomever you please, parents hear all those horror stories about young girls being stalked and whatnot, and they get worried. Not saying that anyone on your flist would stalk you, of course, but your parents probably just don't want you talking to people who are, to them, strangers. You're still a kid, by their standards.

Heck yes!! LOL! I stole his 2-CD greatest hits collection from my Mom, and I play it in my room, most nights, before I go to sleep. I remember listening to him with my parents on car trips when I was little, too. I find his voice very soothing. What's your favorite song?
