The French always bring the lulz. Quick (French/Belgian equivalent of McDonald's) is accused of "subordinating the supply of a good, the hamburger, to belonging or not belonging to a particular religion". Why? Because they are planning to serve only Halal burgers in a few branches. Wtf, people, it's not like it changes the taste.

It's a burger where the meat has been slaughtered and prepared following Halal procedures.

So, like kosher (but different standards obviously)?

Yep! Very much like Kosher. (Though Kosher is also acceptable for Muslims to eat.)
