running blues

Over the last few years, it seems like I'm getting slightly more aches and pains from running 3 days a week. Running can be surprisingly hard on your body. In my case, I had knee issues (tendinitis) that it turned out stemmed from bad feet. I have to get orthotics, and that helps me to an extent.

Things like shoes and orthotics are expensive, but I kind of put it in perspective given the cost of having to see an orthopedist and how much it sucks when it hurts to walk.

I'm not a doctor so I don't really know for anyone past myself, but I hated when my legs went bad.

I actually do have orthotics, and they definitely help reduce the foot and knee pain. I guess you are right, though- if I didn't buy the right shoes, then I'd most likely get way more little injuries than I do now. I guess what's been puzzling me is just how more easily sore I get from running (even if I do it regularly) than I used to. Like, weird muscles that you don't even know you have on a day to day basis, if that makes sense.

I have the same thing. (Though I'm also out of shape now.) That may just be a part of aging. We're not 19 anymore...
