i have a contrary and useless disposition

I think I'm becoming bitter?

I guess I have control over that, in theory, so hopefully the fact that I'm realizing it now will help slow its progression. The bitterness, that is.

There's nothing wrong with being bitter as long as you have a good sense of humor. That way, even if you're not nice to everyone, you're still fun to be around.

Plus, it helps if you're pretty, which you are, so I wouldn't be worried.

Hey, just letting you know that bitterness isn't a death sentence. Many people have learned to live with bitterness and went on to do great things... though most of the time the great things they went on to do involved revenge and/or the stealing of all the presents from Who-ville.

Some famous bitter people who did great things include:

Oscar Wilde
Andrew Jackson
George Carlin
Bill Maher
Charles Guthrie
Nikolas Tesla

Of course, I've just named men, but there are plenty of bitter women in history like

...

umm...

... oh yeah! Like these:

Lisa Lampanelli
Janeane Garofalo
Emily Dickinson
Gloria Steinem
uhh... Murphy Brown?

I know there are a bunch more...

I hope it's not a book about knitting with dog hair. I wrote that book.
