Prowl sat on his couch, his baby brother snuggled into his side. Jazz had offered to run to the store and pick up a home scanning kit. Depending on what the test said, they would decide what to do from there. As soon as Jazz had stepped out the door Bluestreak had broken down again, begging his older brother for forgiveness and sobbing that he didn't mean for this to happen. Prowl's spark had ached at the sight of Blue sobbing, his hands crossed instinctively over his gestation chamber. It hurt to know that he had thought that Prowl would have scolded him and that Jazz was the only reason he hadn't. Prowl had rushed to his brother, pulling him to the couch, shushing and rocking him soothingly.

It occurred to Prowl that not long ago he would have lectured Blue on what it meant to be a follower of Primus. There would have been a yelling match that would end with Prowl telling his brother he should drop to his knees and beg their god for forgiveness. But now, he couldn't help be a little excited at the prospect of a sparkling, even if the sire was lacking in....well practically everything. If Blue really was sparked with Sunstreaker's sparkling, then that would put the yellow mech smack dab in the middle of his life, in Jazz's life. Prowl bristled at the thought, his processor coming up with hundreds of scenarios of the cocky mech stepping out of bounds. 'No.' He thought to himself, 'Jazz won't allow that to happen. He would put him in his place.'

Jazz. His beautiful Jazz. Seeing his lover handle the situation with his smooth grace had made his spark want to bust with love for the visored mech. Bluestreak was of no consequence to Jazz, but he had treated the younger Praxian as if he was his own kin. Not to mention he had kept Prowl out of jail and re-directed his anger to concern for his brother. Prowl suddenly was very aware of the other black and white's absence, longing for his lover to return and simply be near him. He rubbed between Bluestreak's doorwings, wondering if the younger mech was feeling the same towards Sunstreaker.

His processor nearly stopped as he realized that yes, Sunstreaker was his little brother's lover. Not only that, they had gotten farther than Jazz and Prowl had even thought about going. Well, farther that Jazz had thought about going Prowl was sure, but it seemed every time they got near each other Prowl's spark was trying to pry open his chest plates to get to Jazz's. He briefly wondered when Bluestreak and Sunstreaker had started this affair, still balking at the fact that he had just lost his seal a little under 4 breems ago.

Blue stirred, tapping his hand on Prowl's knee, bringing the older of the two out of his thoughts. "Hey Prowler, what are all these boxes for?"

Prowl's optics widened as realization hit him hard. He hadn't told Bluestreak he was leaving the church. He'd been so caught up in Jazz and their whirlwind (though apparently not as fast as Blue's) romance that he'd completely forgotten to tell his brother....well anything. Guilt tore at him as he pushed Bluestreak up from his side, moving to look his brother in the optics.

"I quit the church Bluestreak." Prowl said evenly, silently hoping his brother would understand.

Blue simply stared at him, his optics dimming for a moment in thought before replying.

"So you can be with Jazz?" Prowl hummed his affirmative, smiling slightly at his brother.

Bluestreak nodded slowly, his optics drifting to the nearest box before breaking Prowl's hold on his arms to snuggle back into his side.

"That's good," he said softly, his voice thick with impeding recharge. "I really like Jazz."

Prowl smile widened as he wrapped an arm protectively around his brother. "Me too, Blue. Me too."

Prowl jumped at the sound of the door being opened. He hadn't even realized that he had slid into recharge along with Blue who was still resting on his side. Prowl turned as much as the recharging mech's form would allow to see Jazz tip-toeing over to the couch. The visored mech held up a bag with the kit inside and gave Prowl a thumbs up before dropping a quick kiss to the sitting mech's chevron. Prowl fought the urge to reach out and grab his lover, his whole body ached with the want to just be near him and his spark seemed to scream as he watched him walk down the hallway to the berthroom. Prowl gently shook Blue's arm, rousing him from recharge.

"Blue, Jazz is back. Let's go ahead a do the test okay?"

Blue's doorwings sank low on his back as he stood up and followed Prowl back to the berthroom. Prowl knew that Bluestreak was scared out of his processor and did the only thing he could think to do. He pulled his brother in to a hug. Blue let out a choked sob and hugged Prowl back fiercely.

"No matter what happens Blue," Prowl whispered, "I'm here for you."

"We both are." Jazz added, emerging from the room. In his hand he held the scanner and the data box that would tell them if Blue was actually sparked or not.

Bluestreak smiled at Jazz and released his grip on Prowl, nodding and wipping the coolants from his optics.

"Okay, let do this."
