Windy Kitten
So, I am in Chicago, safe and about 30% settled.
The cats are doing well and don't even seem to mind that they have to stay in the bedroom. 9Only for a couple of days until we can slowly socialize them with Joe's cats.)
Comcast fucked up so I won't have internet connectivity at home until Thursday but, at least I can invade Jason's whenever I need and I will be borrowing a laptop from him and finding a Wi-Fi spot near the apt.
The apt is great. There will be some work to make it nice for living since the bedrooms are so small but, it is doable.
There will be some adjustment for me since I haven't had a roommate since about 1992. But that too shall come in time.
Currently at Jason's being coffeed and fed and soon we will head back into town to get ready for NYE at Neo.
Tomorrow is black eyed peas with Jim and Tiffany and a call to Shon so we can start plotting time and cuddles.
I can't wait to call and text people tonight to tell them happy new year in atlanta time and then again an hour later for chicago time. It feels like such a great way to make a definite change in chapters for my life. I miss so many people. And at least I get me some Rotzo in February for that nostalgic taste of my home down south. It makes the transition so much easier.
Well, off to do some shopping and drink more coffee...
Oh, all these miles and he still tells me that he loves me.
There is so much for my head to digest.
I feel like I am in a really good place to do all of it though.
