I think you are correct, time does seem to fly faster for men. When I am discussing events of say 2 weeks ago or even a month ago with Patrick he always says it happened longer before said time. I will then go back in my journal sometimes to verify things I have documented and prove him wrong.
This month has gone by extremely slow since my period was late. It's been 18 days since my period should have started and it didn't, but I took 4 tests and they have all been negative. But I remember exactly July 4th when I started I was like "awwww, why did I have to start on a holiday?!" lol

Months can go by for Brian before he actually realizes it's like.. December.. me.. I know each month I'm in.... and how far along in the month we are.. and EXACTLY when the insurance will be due...
