OK so I finally bit the bullet and created a tumblr account.  My next question is who do I follow? How does it work?

I am so technologically challenged when it comes to this stuff, it's sad. Truly.

Hey there! I was confounded by tumblr at first as well but now I'm totally addicted. The easiest way to find blogs to follow is to search the tags. You can search for anything: your favourite author (then you might find a blog that posts quotes/interviews/images of them) you favourite shows or movies, any political interests you might have, etc. You can also search google--a lot of tumblrs that are dedicated to one specific thing use the prefix 'fuckyeah', as in 'fuckyeahtattoos' or maybe fyeahryangosling or fuckyesmodernfamily (those are examples, not actual tumblrs I don't think, maybe the first).

When you're searching the tags, you might find a post that you adore, and you check out the poster's blog and see what they post, if you like it, follow them.

You can also search google for something like '10 best tumblrs to follow' and see if any of those align with your interests.
