This is reserved for family members, lovers, or very close friends. It is very uncomfortable to stand this close to anyone. That is why in elevators most people hate it because when it is crowded everyone is invading you personal space.
3-5 feet.
If you are a salesperson and are trying to help a customer, this is a good space to keep. Not only does it allow you a "comfortable" space but it allows you to maintain eye contact and be able to listen to what a customer wants.
6-infinite
Everyone else.
Remember...make good choices and if you do not want your pet to get smashed. KEEP IT INDOORS!
