So, as some of you may or may not know, I am back in Chicago. I had a fantastic time in Dublin and Amsterdam, but by the time I hit Paris, I had also hit a brick wall. my mom is over fifty and still, at two points in the past three years or so, has called her daddy to either come help her or to come celebrate with her.

in short, dont feel bad about needing your parents. hopefully, that's what they're there for.

i know that's what they're there for, but i feel like i'm so independant so much of the time that something like this really is a blow to my sanity, ya know? it's like i don't know if i can really make it without them, so what will i do when i have to do things on my own? thanks for the understanding, though :)

but you never have to do things on your own. thats what your support network is there for. friends and yes family as well. independance (to me) doesnt mean doing everything completely on your own....real maturity is about knowing when to ask for help.

At least you're going back to Pol-la-land. And your mommy is going with you! I'm sorry stuff didn't go exactly as planned, but I am glad that you are sorting things out.
