I'm here. I got here around 7 last night, local time. Pretty easy drive, just very long. And I didn't get bored until around Idaho, even the miles and miles of cornfields in Nebraska weren't boring. Rather redundant, but not boring. The sky is pretty overcast and I plan to explore the town, perhaps find a Walmart (I don't even know how anti-Walmart ( Read more... )

At first I was afraid to ask because I figured the general feeling about Walmart was rather New England-y, but, hell, I'm gonna need to find it eventually might as well find it within 24 hours of getting here. Just for the record, I was very impressed of the size of this Walmart - and I am from Walmart country. It was HUGE and my roommie says there are 3 in this town. THREE. Heck, there are only 2 in Dothan. Captialism can still impress me.
