Oh, I know! Portion control really is the key. The advantage of low carb, high fat (LCHF) is that you're never really hungry.
I have coffee with double cream in the morning and an excellent meal in the evening. If I fancy it, a full English brekkie with eggs, bacon and 97% pork sausages.
Whoo Hoo, welcome back, lovely lady. You’ve made my Saturday morning seeing you posting. As Maz said, you're often in our thoughts.
Congratulations of coming out of the other side of your crazies! I’m in my fourth year of peri-menopause and am getting really tired of my body not being able to make up its mind what it want to do.
And congratulations on the weight loss. That’s awesome and really inspiring. I’m really glad that things have settled down for you and that you and Paul are enjoying life and feeling good about yourselves.
Hugs you hard and I hope we see you here again soon. But no pressure! :)
Honestly, hon, I look back and wonder what on earth I was thinking!
I wouldn't mind quite so much if my body couldn't figure out what to do, but my mental processes were so far away from ME that it was as if I were a different person.
Wow, that was an interesting thing to re-consider. Thanks, sweetie. Honestly.

I get completely confused by dietary advice and have decided eating in moderation is key, but hard to put into practice!

I've never once felt deprived.

My eating plan is LCHF, low carb, high fat.
You can reverse your diagnosis, or at least halt it. I really, really advise going to diabetes.co.uk and dietdoctor.com for dietary advice.
They advise a low carb, high fat diet and a meter to check what does or does not work for you.
Please sign up to diabetes.co.uk. It's free, I'm there and they are wonderful. Lots and lots of advice.

Brekkie is a coffee or two with double cream. Knob of butter optional - I don't like it but some do.
Very filling so skip lunch or a very small bit of cheese or salmon. I love salmon.
Dinner, some protein with plenty of overground veg. No pasta, pots or bread.
Yes, I am one of those tragic people who spiralise courgettes and grind cauli into rice. Tragic, but I've headed off a T2 diagnosis and lost 60lb.
So yay me!
