Do more of this. Do less of the "working." Figure it out! What is the dollar value of how much better you feel now, compared to how much worse you feel in a job you hate?

It's because you are "alienated from your work product" in the other situation. Yep. I learned that in PhD school.

Bernice is a black widow, I went out to find her yesterday, and she is gone. That sort of freaks me out....

Good for you on buckling down and getting serious! Had a lot of that myself this year -- it's interesting how much perspectives change when your life has had a jolt and you have to consider what's really important.
