I think the hardest thing about the burglary, besides the obvious loss, is that nagging sense that I'm not safe in my own home anymore. And it's not safe to be away from the house, either, lest someone break in again and steal even more. Aw, I'm SO sorry to hear about that burglary! I have a rough idea of just how painful must be thinking about "that little shit" who did it -- your personal space HAS been violated!
At least you have the sensitive BF to try to cheer you up. I LOVED the "security" collars for "our furry cuddlesluts." (What a book-title for someday!)

I'll post a picture when I get around to replacing my camera (damnit, I liked my purple digicam...)
But yes, it's just this nagging paranoia, more than ever - the house creaking as it settles, etc and I'm lying wide awake in bed trying to recall if that's a normal noise or something I should be investigating with a bat in the other hand.
