Ariel is sick. That's not exactly pleasant, especially considering the fact that he gets sick in the most inconvenient of places. It's times like this when I wish it had been a gerbil that followed me home instead of a cat.

A virus. The poor thing's been throwing up for the past two days. I took him to the vet yesterday, and the medication seems to be clearing it up.

Gerbils are harder to catch when they make a bid for freedom, that they are, and ye would need a cage and all for it too, aye. They get sick too, that they do, and it's less expensive, but only because there's less that can be done for them, there is.

That may be true, but it's difficult to find a housepet that's more high maitenance than a cat. Unless, of course, you're specifically looking for an exotic animal to share your home with. I wouldn't recommend it, though.
