Again?

There was apparently another date auction recently? Or was it advertised as a charity auction? While it was for a good cause, I could have sworn we just had one recently. Besides, I'm perfectly capable of donating money without getting something in return for it. The entire idea always confused me, as though humans need a reward for doing a good ( Read more... )

Really? I hope you ended up with someone you know, or that you at least feel comfortable with.

Her name's Anko. She seems pretty cool. Just wants to rent videogames and takeout.

No point in dwelling what you did or didn't do in the past. Besides, I'm sure you can think of other ways to help the city.

Interestin', how ShinRa got gutted in tha space o' a day. Lotta threats seem gone, but there still 're too many. Do ya think Aizen'll be more active 'r less active wi' ShinRa gutted?

It always does.

I can't be sure what Aizen would or wouldn't do now with ShinRa gone. That depends entirely on how directly the two of them were involved, if at all. ShinRa's company still seems to be there, so perhaps I can talk to some of his remaining employees and see if any of them know anything about ShinRa's quieter dealings. Has Yachiru ever mentioned anyone who can be categorized as a higher-up?

In the case of some it isn't that they need something for doing a good deed, a prize to wave around or flaunt... it's just a way to attract the public.

The way putting out signs across town point ya toward a garage sale, you know?

Without the signs, people don't really know anything, and involvement is harder to inspire. I guess some people will always frown upon a little creativity, though, huh?

Pity. :P

Point well taken, besides the obvious display of tongue in cheek. ;-)

And I never said that the auction was a stupid idea. It certainly did grab attention. I only wish that charity work on its own was enough to motivate most people. I'm not enough of an idealist to believe that this is (or ever will be) the case.
