Genre: Fantasy

Rating: PG-13
Summary: The once vast lands of the Sidhe have dwindled to a manor and some outlying estates as the Industrial Revolution sweeps the country. The King's last ditch attempt to father an heir on a mortal woman has failed, giving a strong sign that he and therefore the land is barren. For all the scheming and backstabbing of the court no one has any idea how to restore the power of the Fae, although no court or kind has diminished as much as the Sidhe.
Enter one minor Sidhe lordling who still hunts the wilds on the outskirts of their land, his enigmatical charge, and a desperate plan to contravene all the rules of Fae society in order to create a new kind of Sidhe, a new sort of Fae that can use mortal tricks and mortal behaviors to survive in a world increasingly overrun by humans. But before he can put this plan to action he must battle the Fae King's desperate grip on the court, the stagnant minds of the Sidhe, and the lurking resentment of an old enemy whose own son has a dangerous set of tricks of his own.
A/N: Many, many thanks to my hatchet-woman,
adsartha, who sat up with me on the home stretches, kicked my ass into gear, and fixed up my Dragon tracks. Thanks also to
trishkafibble who made beautiful art for my poor story.
