I hope your long weekend gives you all that you hope for. :D
It's really strange to me, to see the destruction, disruption, and anxiety caused by the earthquake and know that it's close enough I could be there in a few hrs, but in the kansai area we've remained completely unaffected.

I heard that they finally got power to the nuclear plant and are able to cool it down, so hopefully that will be the last of that drama. And my friends in the Tokyo area all seem to be saying that the aftershocks are slowing a bit (although they seem to all have different opinions on how much). So things are gradually improving. I hope.
I rather like Osaka, but I haven't actually had the chance to go to many other places yet...

CURSES, I already told you my awesome thunderwear joke. I've got nothing else...wait, here's a funny story: last night I met an old friend from high school at a bar (he's in town visiting) and we left early after only two drinks go grab food, yet I still managed to CUT MY GODDAMN FOOT OPEN somewhere along the way, and can't remember how or where. Why am I this person?
