oh my... this is too funny... watching the history international channel... a show on rome... and the guy is telling the story of the romulus and remus... using props... small dolls and a stuffed wolf... and apparently romulus used "a ninjitsu kick to the head" to kill off remus... its always the ninjas... -
fireworks
Ah, the joy of the 4th of July... and neighbors that have waaaaay too many fireworks at their disposal. There have been fireworks going off here and there since about 9:30... I most of the neighbors seemed to set theirs off while Tweetsie was putting on their display (you couldn't really see it from here... only the ones that went really high... ( Read more... ) -

Second summer session started today. I'm taking a class called literacy, technology and instruction. It is gonna be.... interesting and not in a good way. At least the professors seem kinda funny. Oh well, even if it totally sucks at least I'll only have to deal with it for five weeks. Far better than a whole semester ( Read more... ) -
Hockey
Ok, so I think that most sports are pretty dumb and not worth watching. Hockey, on the other hand, is worth it... guys with big sticks, body checking, and the occasional fight... worthwhile tv. Especially when the Carolina Hurricanes are in the Stanley Cup playoffs and the games are rough and fast-paced... rather exciting ( Read more... ) -

I just got the first six rows (out of twenty-seven) of my quilt stiched together. I am so pleased with how it is turning out. It is even prettier than I expected. It has been a lot of work, and there is still a good bit left to do, but it will be so worth it in the end. -

The post office is evil. They keep not giving me all of my mail. And what mail to I fail to get? Hmmmm? Bills and my new cards for my credit cards. Stupid postal service. I'm gonna have to call them bright and early tomorrow morning and bitch at them. This has gotten really rediculous. -

Here I am in class again. Luckly I am (barely) able to pick up an internet connection in this room. Its pretty weak and slow, but better than nothing. This will help to make the two house go past. Today was the first day of the first summer session. I can already tell that this class is gonna be a waste of time. ::sigh:: Oh well, its not like I had high hopes for educational psychology. The upside is that it doesn't seem like it will be that work intensive. So that means I'll have plenty of time for catching up on projects around here ( Read more... ) -

Grandmother was doing even better today so we decided that it was safe to head back home. Lelly and I just got back a few minutes ago and my parents should be leaving VA and heading back in just a bit. The drive felt like to took forever even though we really did make pretty good time.
