ok so i called HR at Rapid City Regional Hospital ( my #1 choice ) and talked with someone. i'm still so happy i cant concentrate. they do have full time, amazing benefits and a 'varied' shift means your likely to be a straight shift but fill in when others are gone type of thing. i told the lady how i really really like the place from what i ( Read more... )

I'm so excited for you! I hope everything goes perfectly and you get to move to SD. It sounds like you would be really happy there :) And you'll be 1000 miles closer to me (that makes me even more happy, haha)!

haha! yes i will and you and frank will always have a place to stay if you ever want to get away and dont want to go far. knock on wood though that i get offered a position. i just dont want to get my hopes up too high. keep your fingers crossed!

i know. :( thank god for airplanes. and frequent flyer miles! i'm totally excited. i've had perm-a-grin since i got off the phone yesterday. so with the fact that my jaw has been ultra sore lately (to the point i'm actually planning on surgery in the future) my tmj is on fire! but i just cant stop smiling and giggling. i just hope now that they call and are still interested after they talk to me. i'm afraid i got my hopes up too high. i listed shannon, leslie, diane and alice for references but said they could also contact my prior employers. now begins the wait game. maybe in a few weeks i'll start applying for wyoming. i'll keep you posted!

i told them i wouldnt be able to be out there till 5/26 do you think that's too long? i figured give myself a week to move out there. maybe i should have said i'd be available rightafter graduation.

hell no! it might even be too quick depending on how fast you can get shit out there. my best advice is to NOT spread yourself too thin right after graduation. if the job really is interested in you, they'll be willing to give you an extra week or so to get there. it's not like you'd be making a small move, it's quite a ways away my dear ;) besides, i started work about a week and half after graduation and i just had to move to petoskey. i even thought that was nuts. you will be REALLY busy right at the end of clinicals, there won't be any time to pack or anything i'm thinking.. i dunno, just my experience . but honestly, i wouldn't fret about that - i think telling them a week is MORE than generous on time.

thanks! i now have entered the rhelm of waiting. it sux. although i just sent out everything about 2 hrs ago. i really like what i see and hear so i'm pretty excited. i jsut dont want to get my hopes up. who knows though. i think fate will put me where i'm supposed to be. keep your fingers crossed!
