I'll have to stick with using fresh rather than frozen, I'm afraid. I just don't have enough room in my freezer, as I already make up a big batch of mixed veggie and grain mix for my birds and freeze that in small containers, so that I don't have to cut up fresh veggies every day for them. Then there are the leftovers that I keep in escrow for when I don't have time to cook. Fortunately, I share fruit with my birds most of the time, so very little goes to waste.
how can there be all these comments i don't seem to have replied to? i could swear i replied already. *shakes head in confusion*
obviously, the birdies are more important. i have the space to have the frozen fruit, and nobody to help me eat it before it goes bad, so frozen makes more sense for me. also, that whole thing with buying berries organic - it's been hard to find organic berries other than strawberries at reasonable prices. *sigh* plus, i do like using some frozen fruit because then i don't need ice cubes to make it cold and frosty. and frozen bananas are pretty much a must for me at this point, lol.
