Yes, I'm gonna say it here, too. MacBook/MBPro users please DO NOT UPGRADE TO 10.6.3! Several people are having SERIOUS issues with computer not starting up - the support forums are full of complaints. If you want a computer and not a paperweight, hold off until this bug is fixed ( Read more... )

My daughter got the advise for an upgrade this morning, but because I read about your troubles with it on Twitter in my very early morning, I told her after waking up, not to do. So, thank you very much for the warning, Kitty *kiss*

Oh good! Most people have upgraded without problems, but better safe than sorry, right? Maybe in a few days they'll get it sorted and release another update, but for now it's probably best to wait.

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I upgraded to Snow Leopard from Leopard. Lost my hard drive. Ironically, I ran the 10.6.3 upgrade last night and got lucky. Suppose the Gods figured they owed me or something.

Hang in there. Apple will probably do all they can do to credit you with all the apps/songs/shows, etc you've purchased and archived on your MacBook. That's what they did with me when I lost the iTunes account on mine.
