no plastic is crazy difficult - i used to follow a blog where she didn't buy plastic.

Bunnies love those carrot tops, though. :)

Carrot tops are hella nutritious, and evidently quite tasty, esp for foraging animals. Any rabbit (or deer or horse, if it comes to that) in your yard will devour them.

Be careful with those carrot tops.

I recently had an unexplained yard bunny death and I can't rule out my giving him carrots and head lettuce from the store. :(

From what I understand bunnies can't consume the pesticides like us humans can.

If you find organic carrots, you can chop up the greens and add them to soups or mix them with other greens in a salad. They can add an unexpected and fresh taste, just experiment with the portions.
