Hm. I'm kinda torn on the matter.
Part of me wants to just sit back and enjoy, but the avid CS&CT (Cultural Studies & Critical Theory) student in me is always active.

It's hard for mw not to try and inspect something at a deeper level, especially if it's mass-prouced. Movies, radio shows, advertisements, and anything else in the realm of large-scale cultural productions has something else at play.
Everything is a delicate interplay between those in power (the producers) and those who are the audience.

Movies like 300, 10,000 BC and the Forbidden Kingdom just scream at me to by digested further.

I'm not attempting to attack your opinion, I'm just defending mine. There's a time and a place for a single layer, but in many instances, there's more at play than what's just upon the surface.
Animal Farm and the Crucible are two beautiful examples of this.

There is a fine line, Sean, between stating an opinion counter to your own and telling you, essentially that "your opinion is wrong". I am guilty of crossing this line in the past and am making a concerted effort to stop, because it's actually a very wrong thing to do in itself (in my opinion :P ). Carly is presenting a good example of presenting her opinion in contrast with your own ( ... )
