Farewell to 2005

2005 is quickly drawing to a close and I've been trying to make some plans and set some goals for 2006.  So far, I've come up with:

1. win pisspot full of cash from one of the major lotteries
2. retire full time (after winning my pisspot full, of course.)
3. spend outrageous portions of winnings on travel, exotic cars and totally unsuitable clothing

Weird. I have the exact same three goals. Must be Kismet ;-)

Happy Anniversary! And Happy New Year too! Your husband has no excuse for ever forgetting the date, but I'm willing to bet a lottery ticket I'm not the first one to have said that.

My husband had other motives for choosing that date; i.e. I became a tax deduction for him for the whole year even though we'd been married less than 24 hours. That tax break is now history, needless to say. Unlike most of my friends' husbands, my guy is truly sentimental and even remembers the date we met, where we met and what I was wearing even after close to 30 years.

I think the hardest part of attaining those goals is going to be #1. *note to self: buy lottery ticket*
