I just got back from seeing GoF!! It was awesome!!
It didn't give much backstory so for someone who hasn't read the books (like my loser dad and brother) it wouldn't make much sense. And it left out a lot of fun bits like the leprechauns. BUT what they did show was absolutely perfect! I hated the last one so I think they really redeemed themselves this time.
It was horribly sad when Cedric's father was crying over his dead body. I was a bit surprised that they were so blunt with Cedric, the old man and the spider's dead (lol). I knew they would be since it would be horrible if they weren't and it was rated PG-13 but I guess I hadn't really thought about it much.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DIDN'T SHOW THE ACTUAL GAME AT THE QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP!! They also didn't have the fact that Rita is an animagus. There was a lot that they left out but I won't focus too much on that.
The Yule Ball scene was wonderful. That is until the end when poor Hermione started crying because Ron is a jerk. And all of the tasks were great.
I need more time to disgest everything so I'll stop now. But overall I thought it was wonderful!
