My horrible week, let me tell you about it

May 17, 2013 21:36

Sometimes I joke that the week is trying to kill me. Well, this week has definitely been a candidate for one of those kinds of weeks.

For instance, let me start off by saying that it is fucking snowing. I haven't looked outside recently, so I don't know if it still is, but when I left to get the bus for my doctor's appointment this afternoon, it ( Read more... )

Wow.

What a horrible, horrible week! 0.0

*hugs tight* Glad you made it through it though. The weather should be getting nicer and hopefully the antibiotics will get you feeling better soon too, huh?

Best of luck on finding the right place too - trust your gut with the landlords - you don't need to end up renting from any more nutjobs.

*snuggles close* Thanks, friend. I am definitely taking my time and consideration about landlords, which is part of why it is so frustrating that this market is such a quick turnover. I figure if I'm renting from a management company then it's probably okay, companies tend to be less nutjobby than people on average, but even with that I've been burned in the past by companies that handled things poorly. Sooo we'll see.

*nuzzles* Miss you guys.

I've never encountered anything to dissuade me from my conviction that 95% of dentists and 98% of orthodontists are perfectionist sneaky, scheming, underhanded asshat wankers who get something out of inflicting pain orally. Your experience only further confirms this to me! UGH!

You are one tough cookie, sis. Keep swimming.

Well, I've actually had very good experiences with dentists. Both of the ones I saw in WA state took really good care of me. I don't really remember a lot of the dentists I had as a kid, but in later times we always saw Dr. Walsh, and my mom loved him and raved about his methods being so much less painful. I went to this office in particular because it is where he works, although he was not available because he has recently been diagnosed with cancer and doesn't do a lot of appointments.

And really, the appointment itself went well. It wasn't terribly painful and I feel like Dr. Mishler is a good dentist. He *did* do very good work. It's just their billing that I have a problem with, and the fact that right *after* a major operation is a really bad time to try to talk important things like money.

I'm glad you had better experiences than me. I guess between my dentists and orthodontists I've felt a bit burned. Only one of them was nice and he was the one smart enough to realize I really couldn't handle the pain and put me under for my wisdom teeth.
