On New Year's one of my good friends, who, to be somewhat fair, was less than sober, called me a slut

i think anyone would question that statement and think about it for days afterwards; it's a VERY harsh statement, and can ruin a person's character. honestly, whether it was true or not, and regardless of how sober this person was, no "good friend" would call you a that--especially to your face. [unless of course, this was in a humorous context?]

Is being a "slut" such a bad thing? Granted, being called names is never fun, especially when one's character is involved, but really...sex is good. Don't let it eat at you!

mostly based on the fact that your friend was drunk, i would let it go...

then again, i don't take it very seriously at all. my friends and i throw that word around like it's meaningless because to us, it pretty much is.

that and i've known some reaaaaaaaaaaally slutty people, and knowing what i know about you there's no way she could have meant it.
