A day of nothing.

Oct 15, 2008 10:57

Oh test days. How I dislike sitting at my desk all day with nothing to do at all. Oh well. I discovered this interactive map where you can read and/or listen to historical bits about BC. And I have rediscovered my love of Rick Mercer. You should all go watch the Beard of Bees clip from Oct 7th if you haven't already seen it ( Read more... )

Rick Mercer is awesome, and I'm glad that the festival was beautiful. Sorry about the bruises!

I just finished reading Anne of Green Gables (again) too! I always cry when Matthew dies.

Happy almost Birthday!

Yeah, just another reason to have my bday whatever after and not on that day. I've read part of the book but I stopped for a while. I have problems reading too much from one author at a time. It will be finished though!

Thank you~ It's nice to have friends who believe in voting.

Isn't he wonderful? I love when he does stuff just because he already signed the release.

I do not think the muffins would make it but have a recipe instead! I don't have the recipe with me rihgt now but I looked up a close one online (so I didn't forget something like baking soda) and modified everything to the one my mom and I make.

Chocolate Applesauce Cake

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp vanilla
3 (heaping) Tbsp baking cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups all-purpose flour

General guidelines for topping:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
brown sugar to taste

1. Cream margarine and sugar.
2. Add eggs and mix throughly.
3. Mix in applesauce and vanilla.
4. Add dry ingredients.
5. If making a pan-style cake sprinkle with toppings. If making a layer cake this step can be left out.
6. Bake in over at 350 for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
