Not dead yet!

I just realized I haven't made a real post for about a month. >_<; Sorry!

I am not dead, just tired. I think it's probably my yearly case of SADS. BUT, spring is definitely here and I am wearing my sandals every chance that I get when my toes won't freeze and I'm trying to get out walking at least once a week (besides the usual to and from school trot) again. Now I just need to remember to use sunscreen every day. I see the crows and the little songbirds are building nests! And the waterbirds are screaming up a storm again as it is mating season. I can't wait for the frogs and cicadas, they sound nicer.

What have I been doing? Well not a lot. But I did make it to the penis festival again this year which was crazier than last year. I swear that is the most foreigners I see in one place every year by far. It's so freaky to realize that someone behind me is speaking English and I can understand them and they are not talking to me, nor have I ever seen them before. Weirdness. I like to know all the foreigners around me.

Other than that I've been hanging out with friends, reading, and catching up on my Dr. Who a bit. There were a couple of movie nights in there too, one involving Pride and Prejudice (oh Colin Firth, you must be the origins of awkward-stalker Edward from Twilight but you are so much more awesome) and the other involving Labyrinth and The Last Unicorn.

Next week I'll be off to Taiwan for six days to visit Alice (a friend from last year) and see the sights with Yumiko! I am excited. I need a vacation after all of these good-byes. I will especially need it after the teacher-changes this week. Poor things only have one week to get out of one school and into the new one. I have been snappy recently. I plan to see the tallest building in the world (and maybe eat ice cream at the top) and look at some of the beautiful treasures taken from mainland China in the National Palace Museum. And most importantly drink some bubble tea in it's native homeland. *shifty eyes* I'm not becoming Japanese and traveling just for food. Really. I swear...
