Time flies.

Well I think that may be the longest blog hiatus yet. I am enjoying twitter a lot more then blogging at the moment. So easy, so simple, so short. So if you're not on my twitter yet it's here.

I went home for a bit this summer. Enjoyed being with my family. Came back to Japan again. Decided that, yes, this is going to be my last year here barring any drastic circumstances. Did the summer speech contest. Did sports day. Elissa, Tiffany, and Tanya all came and visited in the same week. Helped Keith and Yumiko and the baby move into their new house. Did English interviews for my kids who want to go to Canada. Next week the kids from Canada are coming for the first time in three years. The week after that is the chorus festival. I'm also preparing a presentation for the new JET conference and slowly getting things on board for a trip to Malaysia/Singapore at Christmas and another to the Sapporo Snow Festival in February. I am also supposed to be studying for the JLPT again.

And I turned 27 last week. Where has all that time gone?

So things are busy, which is normal for fall, but I am feeling a little snowed under. And due to work/life stress my neighbor seems to be dancing on the edge of breaking down. I'm trying to help her out by picking up extra slack where I can but I'm not sure if it's really helping or not. We're both being more selfish then usual.

On the upside I've been watching my birthday present to myself (secondhand extended LotR DVDs) in the evening and knitting or reading books. I've got a whole stack of books that need reading and the nice wool is back in the yarn store (though I will not be buying much/any because my stash needs to get smaller) which is pretty exciting.

Yep. That's things in a nutshell. I think I am probably the most uninteresting expat ever.
