I wanted to elaborate on Kestra's story and first arrival to Haven Way. Its apperantly what i like to do. Also i have nothing exciting to report so on with the story:
Omi and Yukiko were hanging around in a tree. Omi was telling a grand story of one of his battles in the limbo over a child's soul who was to be taken to Hell. He flailed his paws about and Yukiko smiled and giggled gently at his antics. Omi was so easily excitable and she found that very amusing. Ringo was sweeping in the back yard and just about everyone else was inside doing their own thing or out shopping.
Omi was about to get to the climax of his story when he paused. His ears perked up and he looked over the limb to see a young girl walking down the street. She seemed familiar some how. She had long wavy and curly hair in a honey gold color. She wore a pair of sun glasses and a trendy top and pants as meandered down the street. She stopped to stare at the Haven Way building, something about it reminded her of something. She stared for a long time and thought she could see spirits running about the house...and one that was very large and a bit dangerous looking. She caught a glimpse of Isis with the dangerous looking spirit before being interupted by a very angry toned voice.
"What are YOU looking at?" Omi asked intrigued by the stranger but annoyed at her presence.
The girl looked down at him. Her blue eyes stared at him intentsly. The fact that a talking cat stood before her did not bother her in the least. This fact, however, worried Omi a little. He held his bluff and repeated his question.
"There are spirits in this house." She replied plainly.
"So? Arnt there a million tales of haunted houses?" Omi asked.
"Somethings different here." She spoke more to the space around her then to Omi.
"Okay." Omi said in reply.
Yukiko drifted down to the floor and walked over to Omi. She stroked his cat ears before he looked up and noticed her presence. He then looked over at the newcomer who suddenly had an extremly stunned expresion on her face.
"Chiyuki? What? What are you talking about Yuki-chan?" Omi asked puzzled at Yukiko's sudden interest in the girl standing before them.
"Am i seeing things? Chiyuki? how do you know that!?"
"She told me. I can read her mind." Omi said plainly...surely there was more then met the eye with this girl.
Yukiko bounced off Omi and plunged into the girls arms and knocked them both back into the grass. The girls sunglasses went skittering further in the grass and Yukiko gave the girl a great big hug. The girl managed to pry Yuki off of her before she could really get a good look at her.
"You really are Yukiko, arnt you? But...I thought...You...were dead?" She stammered the statement out with much unease.
Yukiko nodded at the obvious statement. The girl sat stunned for a few minutes. Her cold demeanor vanished into thin air as she simply stared at the figure.
"But you are dead! So...Im looking at your ghost?" She seemed a little more certain.
Yukiko nodded again. Omi just glanced back and forth between the two. He looked to Yukiko who smiled at him and seemed to say something.
"She's telling me your name is Chiyuki and that i should be nice to you." Omi said meekly.
"My name isnt Chiyuki anymore Yuki. It's Kestra. Mom changed my name a long time ago." She said firmly.
Yukiko stared at Kestra for a long moment. It saddned her to hear this statement come from her. She looked down at her fingers to which she always seemed to have a lingering interest in. Omi glared back at Kestra and she suddenly felt bad.
"It's ok Yuki, Chiyuki is my middle name now. Mom didnt want me forget it...or you..." She said quietly.
Yukiko muled over this for a moment before looking up and smiling again. Kestra stood up and put her hand out for Yukiko. Yukiko grabbed it and stood up, whiping her tunic off. Kestra smiled softly at her and then looked to Omi.
"So who are you?" She asked a bit impolitely.
"How rude." Omi scoffed.
Yukiko giggled and told Kestra the story of how she met Omi, or rather how he met her. She nodded and placed her hands on her hips. Omi walked off and crossed paths with Ringo and Himitsuu in his arms. He looked at Omi stomp passed and was curious for his bad mood. Himitsuu pointed in the deriction that Omi had come from.
"Whats this? Yukiko found a new friend?" Ringo wondered out loud.
"And Omi's probably jealous." Himitsuu added.
"Now now...thats not nice, Himi." Ringo chided.
"Dont call me Himi!!" Himitsuu growled at him and lightly dug her claws in.
"Ouch! ok i get the point...yeesh." Ringo laughed.
"Hey...that new kid looks familiar." Himitsuu added suddenly.
"She does." Ringo agreed.
Yukiko waved to them both and ushered them over. She grabbed Kestra by the hand pulled her over to Ringo. Kes looked at Ringo and then at Yukiko who smiled and gestured.
"Ringo? Thats his name? And Himitsuu is the kitsune's name?" Kestra managed to quickly grasp at Yukiko's thoughts.
Yukiko nodded.
"And who might you be?" Ringo asked with a gentle smile.
"My name is Kestra Chiyuki DiMillo!" Kestra said in a bold commanding voice.
"Hmmm...I never knew Yukiko had a twin sister. But then again she doesnt tell us much. Pleasure to meet you." Ringo smiled again a big goofy grin.
"How did you know that?" Kestra asked slightly puzzled.
"The resemblence is unremarkable. You couldnt deny it if you tried." Himitsuu said with a smirk."
Just then a voice rung out over the yard. Joan and Lukas ambled up the path way.
"Hey Ringo!! What are you doing!? Dinners supoused to be in the process, like right now!! Huh? Who's that?? Oh NO!! NOT ANOTHER ONE!!! ARGH!!" Joan grabbed at her hair and wiggled around uncomfortably.
"Hahaha!!" Lukas simply laughed at her.
Lukas ran over to meet Yukiko's new found sister, while Himitsuu tried to console Joan. Secretly everyone found her reaction funny. Ringo was simply happy to reunite an ever growing faimly at Haven Way.
So yeah just something short and sweet.
