For me, certain comic book characters have voice associations that are unshakable. Batman is supposed to sound like Kevin Conroy, the voice from the animated series. The Joker sounds like Mark Hamill. The Penguin sounds like Burgess Meredith from the old TV series. And Catwoman? Catwoman sounds like Eartha Kitt
