I really loved the sequence starting at about 2:46 that covered her backstory through about 3:16. Something there just really grabbed me, visually and emotionally. :}
This is REALLY lovely. I've been wanting to make a vid to this song for a while and now I don't have to! Your editing was fantastic, and I loved the clips that you used. They may be clips from scenes that are used somewhat often, but the moments you chose from those scenes were pretty unique, IMO.
And the editing during the verses, to the strumming of the guitar, was just great.
The song is just so lovely and perfect isn't it? Now I'm a little sad tho' - I'm sure your version would have been much more awesome than mine! But Thank you so much for the kind remarks!! &hearts I'm always so glad to hear what worked well, since I'm still rather new and experimenting and I'm so happy the choppy editing during the strumming spoke to you - I had a lot of fun playing with the clips for those.
Wow, this vid really surprised me. At first, I had my doubts, because it was quite a slow and soft song, and those can be hard to vid (especially with an action packed show like BSG). But you did a really good job of it. You had me by the first chorus. You managed to keep it interesting and engaging, while maintaining the soft feel of the song. The tone was wonderfully sad. It really got to me.
I especially like the quick black and white edits. They work really well with the beat, and keep the vid interesting. And I loved the entire end, with all the quick clips that just cataloged their entire relationship. I love that over-whelming bombardment feeling. =)
**sniff** What a lovely vid... The song and the clips you've chosen are perfect for pilots and your editing is fantastic... My favorite part without any doubt is the end --especially the last verse--, it is a beautiful encapsulation of Kara and Lee's relationship. Wonderful job!
(btw, there is nothing wrong with overtly shipping!! I had never really shipped for real before Kara/Lee... BUT pilots are pilots. Always special and different! ;))
Aww, thanks so much!! Pilots are indeed so special - I was so sad that they didn't get a proper closure that I just HAD to make this and remember the moments they had together (for good or bad) - Glad you enjoyed!
