Donghae was drunk - drunk, drunk, drunk - and he didn't even care as he allowed Kibum to press him against wall. He was vaguely aware they were in public but their celebrity status be damned: it had been weeks, months since he had last seen his boyfriend and he needed his release.
He moaned, the sensation of Kibum's tongue licking, Kibum's teeth scrapping, Kibum's lips sucking overwhelming him. Suddenly, he didn't care that they were in a night club, surrounded by unfamiliar people pressed up close together: he needed Kibum, and needed him now.
Sungmin tilted his head to the side, concern etched on his face, watching Donghae intently as the other played video games with Hyukjae. Kyuhyun had an arm wrapped around his waist, the younger man in a conversation with Ryeowook and Yesung about what they should sing for an upcoming event.
Donghee waved cheerfully as he walked by, and backtracked when Sungmin didn't respond.
"What's up, Sungmin-ah?" he asked, sitting down in front of his friend.
"I'm worried about Donghae," came the absent-minded reply.
"Why?"
The girl sighed blissfully as Kibum rolled off her, settling back on the bed before swinging his leg off the side of the bed and pulled his clothes back on. She sighed blissfully once more, and he looked round to see her sound asleep.
He bit the edge of his lips, drawing blood and revelling in the metallic taste. The feeling of guilt suddenly welled within him, rising from his toes, threatening to crash over him like a wave as he thought about what he had done.
Just another one night stand.
He left the hotel without a backwards glance.
Donghae curled up on the windowsill, his arms wrapped around his legs, his fingers playing with his toes as he rested his chin on his knees. He sniffed, and a tear rolled past his eyes and down his cheeks.
Sometimes, he reflected, he would rather be blissfully ignorant than to know the truth.
Sungmin stood in the doorway, his arms wrapped around himself as he reflected on what he had done earlier. He was crying, silent tears marring his beautiful features, and when Kyuhyun walked past behind him, Sungmin latched onto him immediately, muffling his sobs into the younger man's chest. Kyuhyun just hugged his boyfriend close, soothingly running his hand firmly down the other's back.
Just then, Kibum entered the dorm and Kyuhyun didn't say a word as Kibum walked past them standing in Donghae's doorway. Instead, Kyuhyun glared at him and hoped that the look that flashed across Kibum's face in that split second was one of regret and despair.
The neon digits on the clock on the bedside cabinet glowed 0300 and Donghae's eyes fluttered open almost automatically. He shifted his head to the side to look at the clock and pushed himself up onto his elbow.
Kibum's arms tightened around his waist.
"I'm sorry, Kibum." And Donghae gently detached the other's arms from around his midriff. He looked down on the sleeping form with sad fondness, and placed a soft kiss on Kibum's forehead. Then, he straightened up and picked a careful path out of his own bedroom.
He spent the rest of the night with Sungmin and Kyuhyun, silent tears plaguing his sleep.
