Our previous home was a Victorian, built in the time of coal bins and outhouses. There hadn't been provisions made for niceties like plumbing. Bathrooms had to be added later. Upstairs, I believe they changed the nursery into a bathroom, and it was unbelievably large for an old home. I loved that home with its nooks and crannies. Some of the houses on our block still retained their horse hitch by the street.
