Comets!

Lookie what I found ;-)   (along with half the country and after highly specific instructions ;-) )

A few friends and I went to see the comet MacNaught, supposed to show up just after sunset, in the SW sky.
But first!  The sunset :D  As you can see, not so much clear sky in which to view the comet, but luckily this exact bit of sky was where it was

LOL! I'm still no closer to getting a flash or tripod myself yet! (Guess I'll have to put that on my February To-Do list since I don't think it'll get done at all this month!) :D

I'm glad you were able to see it. It "showed up" in our sunset sky about a week about. If it wasn't so cold, I would have tried to find a good place to see it. But I didn't want to drive home on ice, and you couldn't see it at our house (too many trees). :(
