Best friends daughter turns 12 (TWELVE!!) this week - and she's decided she can't be "bothered" having friends over, cos it's "boring" (save me, we have entered.... the sullen pre-teen years... :-o ), so instead she wants to go swimming at the pools with her Mum, me and another friend of ours, and two kids who are friends of the family

Hmmm, yes I remember him saying something along those lines, but I took it as jokey. The con didn't seem the place for lifestyle confessions to me. I hope he wasn't serious! He had what looked like a Cuervo when he came by our table at the party.

Yeah it was a Cuervo when he got by our table. He did say it was his second, so his first mighta been a Heineken.

As far as the smoking goes, I have a rather sensitive nose and I almost always smell it on him or Chris, but not this year. So maybe he has given it up?

huh - I musta been overanalysing *sheepish* Maybe he DID mean it as a joke - I just sorta figured that given his rather well known reputation for partying it up, especially at cons, in the past, that maybe he had given that all up.

I'm glad to hear it's just me reading too much into things! :D
