Colouring non translateable, texture use translateable.
requested by
kari_bob 1. Obviously i've cropped the
original pic and resized to 100x100
2. We'll do the colouring first, and to do that i have to refer you to an awesome icon maker,
pippins_mcgee13 and more specifically her tutorial
here. 3. I made a couple of changes to the above tut. Firstly i duplicated the base, dragged it to the top and set it to soft light 100%. I then created a hue/saturation adjustment layer - Master: saturation 20.
4. Next i added
right at the top, set it to Multiply 68%
Obviously you can alter the % of hue/saturation layer and the texture to suit your liking.
kari_bob specifically asked about how Daniel Craig blends into the background, to do this it help if your background is light because its brightening the icon that makes the subject blend.
If your background is dark i'd suggest erasing the background either with the eraser or using the polygonal lasso tool in PS or the freehand selection tool in PSP to cut the subject, in this case, Daniel Craig, from the background. I'd then fill the background with a light colour, usually a light blue or even white.
And your done. Hope it helps someone. Any questions, just ask.
