“Spring has spung
the temp has riz
and all the birdies
are doing their biz”
And there are baby lambs at
Ambury Farm If you time it right you can bottle feed one of the orphan lambs.
And this heat seeking Feline has toes that are warm enough not to need socks on them. Bonus!!!
And a long LJ rant
Got a flyer in the letter box a couple of weeks ago from a Real Estate Agent trying to get business. He had been up and down the street taking photos of the houses, and stuck each photo on a calendar and put it in that house’s letter box. Now most of the people in the street are not impressed about this, especially as some of them live up right-of-ways and to get the pic the agent would have had to trespass. Everyone says its an invasion of privacy and have said they will complain. I sent a letter off complaining to the Real Estate Institute complaining, and asking them to keep my name out of it with the Real Estate Agency. They said they can’t and the procedure is that they give the Agency a copy of the complaint and investigate it. So sent of new letter, much to my disgust. Hopefully they can do something about these scum sucking agents and that I won’t get spammed by more Real Estate rubbish. Guess those agents slept thru their Ethics class at Real Estate School.
Have been trying for a few weeks to get an essay done for a class, which had been going nowhere. Have nearly enough words, but I’m not happy with it. The more I try the worse I seem to make it. So after two more frustrating hours with it today, I decided that enough was enough, and it wasn’t worth the crap. It’s due in a week and a half, I will edit it in a few days time and hand it in and forget about it. Between this, and exam and a presentation I had to do this week, I was a zombie by Friday afternoon. Had lunch with
, and , yummy lunch but I really wasn’t much company. I also got the chance to check out Rocalisa’s favourite book shop. Found two more authors to add my list of books to be read once the semester finishes, and realised how much I miss reading books that aren’t about dry old management topics. Might try and read a couple between assignments over the break.
As for that presentation this week, after having had prendisone and antibiotics for bug no 5 this winter I was actually starting to feel like maybe I could actually speak long enough without coughing so much I sound like a seal. Well nope, despite hardly any coughing all week, come Thursday morning back it came. Made it thru most of the presentation before I had to let the person I worked with on the assignment take over. Probably part of it was I was nervous, and the rest …me hating doing speeches and I was tired.
Power bill has been going up and up and up this winter, and not just because it was cold. No matter how much I tried to save power, the bill nearly doubled. Then totally by accident I found that the hot water tank was leaking. One $1.75 washer replaced by the plumber (with his $75.00 bill to do the job) and problem fixed. Not looking forward to the water bill. Just nice to know I wasn’t totally crazy.
Ok Rant over, time for the rain to stop so I can walk to the farm and check out the baby lambs.
