Only teasing, astonishingly if you live in a small town or in the country your chances of surviving a nuclear war ain't that bad either.
This information below is really interesting

No problem, I might have paraphrased it from someone else's (couldn;t say since it's been so long)
b) I've found out from researching this story my chance of surviving a nuclear war is much higher than I thought it would be back in the eighties, whereas don't you live in Texas?
Oh, I fully agree on that point, Dallas and Fort Worth are just a stone's throw. We are, however, attempting to move to Kansas (a very small town in Kansas). Keep your fingers crossed since everything kinds hinges on getting this particular house. It exactly suits our needs.
Muse and I have both expressed a desire to move Down Under, but... yeah, not realistic.

thank you for such a nice review, now the serious story is out of the way,
(do you know I keep up with supernatural and SCC by reading the recaps in Television without pity? and when I read how Jesse came to LA with a nuclear sub from Perth... the plot bunnies started)
I have a great idea for a crackfic cross with Crocodile Dundee now.
I can think of lots of Australian shows I could cross SCC with but none that the average American viewer would know, eg have you heard of 'McLeod's daughters'?
I am competely convinced now that Jesse is not evil, she just has different objectives to Derek.

Now I'm crossing my fingers she doesn't get killed off.

Wouldn't you eat Kangaroos? Particularly if you had a dead one just lying around.
the thing about the Southern Hemisphere is 'true' (we won't know for sure unless it happens. Fewer targets down there and there's a thing about the weather systems not crossing over with the north.
Anyway, enjoyed the story, so much better than some stuff I've read lately.
