Whatchu puttin' in? Me and my housemates are doing tomato, beans, squash, potato, cucumber, flowers, garlic and some other herbs. I got to chop up and fold in hardened sheets of manure just this Thursday. *grin* I should stay out of politics -- I got no endurance for slinging $#!t. =)
mmmm... manure. i folded in some pretty fresh manure in the fall. i bought it from the horse farm near our house, so at least i'm slinging shit to support the community :)
i'm planting tomatos, cucs, corn, sugar peas, bell peppers, carrots, and lettuce, plus i've got a separate pot for some herbs. have you guys done a garden in the past? this is my first since i was a kid, so i hope it turns out well... i think it will be worth the effort as long as i get one good crop of juicy delicious tomatos!
Well, at least three of us (out of six) have gardened separately, though this is our first time working together. I grew up gardening in the summer in the tired backyard plot ... I really hated it then, I think mostly because I never questioned the methodology when some aspect of it was yucky or painful. Now I've got a different perspective.
Yay for local poop!
I wouldn't mind seein' some pictures of your progress, should you be inclined to take 'em. =)
hell yeahs! i wish there was a way i could take a pic every day from the same location, so i could make a stop motion video of its growth. you have any pics?
