So this master's program thing is really a challenge. Especially with the group projects. I get the reasoning behind it, but one of my classes has a final paper that we have to collaborate on. I want to eat the contents of my refrigerator. I hadn't been to the gym in weeks, and I went today, and therefore I guess my body's saying "Now I can eat whatever I want! Feed me, Seymour, feed me!"

So I did end up getting that smoothie with a friend. And it was fantastic. I tried their chai drink, and I would say that I'm a partial fan. I am not completely won over, but it was satisfying on a hot day ( Read more... )

I went to jury duty today. I have mixed emotions about it. I mean, yes, I am performing my civic duty, and I truly do find it interesting to have this firsthand look at our justice system. However, I have some friends who have experienced the, shall we say, harsher side of the system, and perhaps I have a hard time seeing it as just all the time. ( Read more... )

What a strange weekend. I feel a bit like a zombie, because I spent most of the weekend either in front of the computer, reading for school, or on the phone trying to work out a friendship situation.

I want to stop waiting

And simply live--

Grasp this moment

Hold it in my hand

Look at it

And recognize its worth
