It was reported on BBC World in the 3 days leading up to the election when I was in Bangkok that the electronic voting machines were "more than likely" rigged and they had a panel on explaining how they could be rigged and why they thought it was "more than just a probability" that they would be - they even showed a copy of the letter the company owner (or might have been company president) sent to George Bush saying he would do ANYTHING in his power to make sure Bush won - did that even make the news in the USA? I guess CNN is probably bigger over there than the British BBC World Asia.

It would be nice to think the right thing will be done but it is highly doubtful :(

I haven't heard anything about a letter. That would certainly be very damning evidence, not that the right wing media monster will ever let it be known by the masses.

Do you happen to have a link for a related article???

fyi, The electoral votes are not actually counted until Dec 13th. We have until then to sway the vote. However, remember that about half the electors are not legally bound to vote per the popular vote. And for those "legally bound", even if they vote against, not a single elector has ever been prosecuted for doing that.

So, if there is going to be any kind of fix, they'd better get a move on before Dec 13th when all is final no matter what happened with the machines.
