I just learned by experience, for the first time since living in this apartment, that Kea is a mouser. And my attempts to extricate and relocate the mouse ended with it jumping from its bowl (mice can jump?) somewhere in the front hallway.

It's not good that you have mice, but at least you have someone there who has taken it upon himself to take care of the problem.

My first cat was a mouser, and after I got over my squeamishness (she wouldn't let me take the mouse from her), I learned to like having a predator in the apartment.
